    FREE Family event - Maritime Festival

    27th May 2013

    We have teamed up the Belfast City Council and the Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival to bring you a unique and creative family event. 

    Our 'Lets Pretend' event will include games, challenges, play, songs and dance for children ages 5-12.  There will be two sessions: first from 10am-12pm and the second from 1pm-3pm.

    FREE Walking Tour - Maritime Festival

    27th May 2013

    We have teamed up with the Belfast City Council and the Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival to bring you creative and uniqaue events to celebrate Belfast's maritime past.

    Join us for A Docker Daydream walking tour guided by Lagan Legacy's Lee Lavis and former dock and author John Campbell.  The tour will leave form the Belfast Barge at 1pm and end at the Mission for Seafarers, lasting for one hour.  The tour guides you through the docks and Sailorstown with a compliment of history and Campbell's own stories of the area.

    Murder Mystery Comedy Night

    Join Captain Gasspasser of the good ship Flatuence as he defends his ship from Captain Bigmast, a DJ at the pirate radio station O arrrrr FM.
     Come and join the fun ye scurvy dogs and saucy wenches in the audience.
    Our last show was a sell out so buy your tickets online through the booking link or at the Belfast Barge (cash only).

    Banter on the Barge

    This month's headline act is Gary Lynch.  Gary is a much loved MC and part of the improv group Mondo Bizarro. He received rave reviews for his first show in Edinburgh last year and put in an impressive 89 shows in 24 days.  He is also resident MC at the weekly Ha Ha Black Sheep comedy club in Dublin and is a favourite MC in E2A Comedy Club Banbridge.

    Now for the first time you can see his one man show live in Belfast.

    Join us for our very popular monthly Electro Swing night with a DJ set and live jazz drums from the Dimebag DJs.

    Rory Gallagher Memorabilia Exhibition

    The exhibition features the complete original back catalogue of all of Rory's official vinyl releases including LPs, 7" singles, early Taste memorabilia, various signed memorabilia, a complete inside look at Tour programmes & many, many magazines articles as well as the original Rory Gallagher guitar tab book!  Also on display are The Irish legend's Rory Gallagher stamp, articles & information on Rory's guitar colelction, rare CD releases such as the G-Men box set, the entire collection of Dino McGartland's legendary Stagestruck fanzine & so much more!

    Viewing daily from 10am-4pm, Free Admission, Donations accepted

    Join the Belfast Barge for our new monthly event: Kids Second Saturdays
    Every second Saturday of the month, kids (ages 3-10) are invited to come and take over the barge. The day is filled with hands-on activities, storytelling and kid-friendly tours of the maritime museum
    Each month we will feature a new theme
    Entry: £4 per child, £2 per adult
    Booking is not essential
    11am-4pm (Last entry at 3)
